The Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency, Lagos State in the just concluded presidential and national assembly elections, Buraimoh Peter Folajimi, has called on Nigerians to leverage on eNaira wallet, saying it will enable them grow their businesses.

This is as he urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under the leadership of  Goodwin Emefiele to extend its functionality by partnering with the ICT sector to provide solutions to rural areas and not commercial banks alone.

Folajimi made the call on a telephone interview with correspondents in Abuja on Saturday, saying eNaira is another secured place that Nigerians can leverage to carry out their daily transactions because it is being monitored by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

According to him, Nigerians don’t need to suffer going from one ATM to another just to get in this digital age. We shouldn’t, we have to embrace the new order saying that the solution has been there.

“I don’t know what other solution people will be looking for again. If there is an eNaira solution then it is easy for everyone to move digital and we can go further to make it more accessible for the local people who have access to technology.

“For instance, I have a tech company and headquarters in the United Kingdom (UK) with the name” Digital Numerical”, we could take such centers and service the people, train them on how to use naira.”

He therefore called on the federal government to incubate people and give them training in different areas because there are a lot of Nigerians that have the solution to our problem.

He said, “ Most of the problems we are facing in this country can be solved without spending many funds because they are local, we can get the country working again if we channel our resources in the right direction.”

While speaking on the cashless Policy, he said he doesn’t know why people keep cash at home because doing so  holds the economy back.

“If you have four billion US Dollars for instance, and you don’t know what to do with it, you can push it out by empowering people, building enterprises, schools, mentoring people and others, contributing to the development of the country”.

Meanwhile, Folajimi commended the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Goodwin Emefiele, and President Muhammadu Buhari for this laudable initiative saying that now Naira will have more value than just physical value, but how we make use of it.
