In a post on X, Nasboi urged Nigerians to reflect on why some public figures choose to stay silent on political issues.

He used comedian Mr Macaroni as an example, noting that he was allegedly harassed after speaking out on public matters and was later mocked and insulted.

See how dem maltreat am just because he spoke up for everybody. Yet na still people mock am and insult am. You think say other celebrities no dey see all those things?

“No be everybody get mind to talk. You have to accept that. And make we no forget, just like some of una no dey interested in politics, na so some celebrities no like to involve politically. Celebrities are humans like you”, he added.
