Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has said the team would fight hard to secure a place at the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Nigeria will battle arch-rivals, Ghana, for a place in the competition set aside for footballers plying their trade in their country’s domestic league.

Ghana has stopped the home-Eagles from qualifying for the CHAN in 2009 and 2022.
Eguavoen is however hopeful the outcome would be different this time around.

“Any category in which we meet the Ghanaian team is always very tough. All we pray for is luck,” Eguavoen told NFF TV.

“For the game, we will go out there and work hard and develop strategies to ensure we are in the next CHAN,” he said.
