American singer Chris Brown’s former housekeeper, Maria Avila, has asked a court to issue an arrest warrant for the pop star over an unpaid $9 million legal judgment.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Avila accused the singer of blocking efforts to collect the money awarded to her following a dog attack at his Los Angeles home.
She alleged that Brown failed to provide dates for a required court appearance to review his finances and identify bank accounts available to pay the judgment.
Avila also claimed that the singer refused to present complete financial documents, including bank records detailing income generated from his ongoing music tour.
The legal battle stems from a 2020 incident where Avila was attacked by a dog while taking out rubbish at the singer’s property.
She was originally awarded $13 million by a jury, but a judge later reduced the compensation to $9 million, which she accepted.
The court has not yet ruled on her request for the arrest warrant.
