The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has conferred an honorary fellowship on the Chairman of Keystone Bank Limited, Dr Ada Chukwudozie, in recognition of her contributions to business leadership and institutional development.
Chukwudozie received the recognition at the institute’s 2026 Fellowship Investiture held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday, October 31.
Speaking after the ceremony, she described the fellowship as both an honour and a call to greater responsibility, pledging to continue contributing to the development of Nigeria’s banking and manufacturing sectors.
“I am deeply honoured and grateful to the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria for finding me worthy of this recognition. It is an honour I receive with humility and a profound sense of responsibility,” she said.
She added that leadership should go beyond individual achievements to include service, the creation of opportunities and contributions to institutional and societal development.
Chukwudozie, who is also Group Managing Director of Dozzy Group and Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria’s South-East branch, said she would remain committed to promoting innovation, accountability and investments that create economic value.
The investiture was held under the theme, “Bank Recapitalisation: Leveraging New Bank Capital for Nigeria’s Industrial Transformation.”
Speaking at the event, CIBN President and Chairman of Council, Dr Dele Alabi, urged banks to channel the benefits of recapitalisation towards financing productive businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, highlighted the need for affordable, long-term financing to support industrial expansion and enterprise development. He also stressed the importance of sound governance and responsible lending.
In his keynote address, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Dr Tayo Aduloju, called for increased financing for manufacturing and other productive sectors, urging greater collaboration among financial institutions, government and regulators to address barriers to industrial investment.
Other recipients of honours at the ceremony included Segun Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority; Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria; Chief Folorunsho Alakija, Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil Limited; and Ibrahim Stevens, Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone.
