CNDaniels Couture has used its end-of-year fashion showcase, “Canvas of Culture,” to promote Nigerian fabrics and boost economic opportunities for local artisans.
The event, held yesterday in Abuja, also serves as a lead-up to a planned collaboration with the British Council in March 2026.
Founder/CEO of CNDaniels Couture, Nnamdi Daniel, said the initiative aims to revive Nigeria’s cultural fashion heritage while creating jobs for local fabric makers and creative professionals.
“This is not just fashion; it’s an economic opportunity for our local artisans,” he said.
The showcase featured designs inspired by northern Nigeria, Lagos, and the southeast, highlighting handwoven fabrics, recycled materials, and cashmere products.
He also plans to produce a documentary on traditional textile-making processes.
Daniel added that supporting local artisans, paying taxes, and training staff contribute to sustainable employment and strengthen the competitiveness of Nigerian fabrics in global markets.
Since its founding in 2013, CNDaniels Couture has grown into a leading fashion house that blends cultural authenticity with modern design.
Through this initiative, the company aims to expand the market for Nigerian fabrics and promote the country’s cultural heritage internationally.
