On October 1st, 2025, Collins Whitworth, a student of Bayero University Kano (BUK), will make history as he attempts to break two Guinness World Records in face painting: the most faces painted in 3 minutes, and the most faces painted in 1 hour. He is motivated to beat the current record held by Emilia Zakonnova, which is 12 faces painted in 3 minutes, archived 30th July 2025. This historic attempt is not only a personal milestone for Collins but also a celebration of Nigerian talent, creativity, and youth ambition.

Collins’ journey has been one of resilience and determination. While his previous attempt in 2024 fell short, the experience fuelled his resolve to return stronger. Over the past year, he has dedicated countless hours to refining his technique, mastering speed and precision, and preparing both mentally and physically for the record-breaking day.

“I learned a lot from my first attempt. This time, I’m prepared, focused, and determined. With Indomie backing me, I believe we can make history together,” Collins said.

Face painting, though often seen as entertainment, is an intricate art form that requires creativity, dexterity, and precision. For Collins, each face painted tells a story, reflects culture, and brings joy to those who become part of his canvas. His attempt to set a Guinness World Record underscores the growing recognition of artistic disciplines that often go unnoticed, highlighting the potential of Nigerian youth to shine on the global stage.

Indomie, a brand long synonymous with nourishment, success, and community, is proud to sponsor Collins’ historic attempt. For decades, Indomie has invested in initiatives that support youth creativity, education, and entrepreneurship. By supporting Collins, Indomie is sending a powerful message: bold dreams deserve bold support. The brand’s involvement ensures that this historic event receives the visibility and celebration it deserves, inspiring young Nigerians to pursue their passions with confidence.

The event, scheduled to take place in Kano on Independence Day, is expected to draw families, students, art enthusiasts, and media from across the country. Spectators will have the unique opportunity to witness history in the making as Collins races against time to paint over 12 faces in just 3 minutes and more than 220 faces in an hour.
