Popular comedian, Jephthah Bowoto, known professionally as Akpororo, has called on the Nigeria Police Force to expand its investigation into the recent killing of an upcoming singer in Delta State.
In a video statement shared via his social media handles, the entertainer argued that the logistics company involved in waybilling the package the deceased went to collect must be held accountable.
The singer was reportedly shot by a police officer, identified as Usman Nuhu, at a transport terminal in Delta State following
a dispute over a parcel. The incident, captured in a viral video, has sparked nationwide outrage and calls for justice.
Akpororo questioned the firm’s safety protocols, noting that standard procedure requires logistics companies to inspect the contents of any package before acceptance.
“Every company is expected to check a parcel before waybilling it to its destination. Why was this not followed? The staff who received and packaged this item from the point of origin must be questioned,” the comedian stated.
He further expressed concern about the officer’s conduct, suggesting that the quick resort to lethal force indicated deeper irregularities in the case.
