Comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka Ist, is set to round off the last leg of his ‘Unity Tour’ show in south-west Nigeria in Lagos, on November 26, 2023.
The event, is to open at the Balmoral Convention center, Federal Palace Hotel, at Victory Island, will be hosted by humour artiste host the grand finale of the Laffmattazz Unity Tour he kickstarted in early 2023, and which has travelled to five major cities in south-west Nigeria, Abeokuta, Akure, Osogbo, Ilorin and Ibadan.
Targeted at bridging the gap wrought by the polarising politics ethnicity and religious division amongst Nigerians at the Presidential elections, Adeyinka convened entertainers of different political and religious leanings to perform, entertain and preach unity to the Nigerian public via the comedic platform.
“2023 will go down in history as the year we allowed tribe and religious diversity to thrive and cause disunity amongst us because of politics. My team and I decided to use what we have to correct this, and we set out on a unity tour across south-west Nigeria.
“The Laffmattazz edition of Lagos is tagged Lagos Again because last year, we had our first edition in Lagos after 12 years of touring the south west, and I daresay it was successful. Lagos will always be home, and we decided to round off the Unity Tour in Lagos, hence, Lagos Again,” noted Adeyinka.
Supported by Nigerian Breweries’ Maltina, Goldberg and Ace, Laffmattazz will feature at least 33 musical and comedic entertainers – as Tuface Idibia, Adewale Ayuba, Alibaba, Omobaba 1, and Ruggedman, as well as acts like DJ Vinnie, Magic Whizz, Carton Boys and GKB.
