A social political group, Osun Shall Rise Again, (OSRA), has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State of including people of questionable character in the inauguration committee of the state governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
It called on the Inspector General of Police, Usman Akali Baba, to beam his searchlight on the security development in Osun State with their alleged recruitment by the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The group’s secretary and chairman, Saheed Bakare and Lanre Akeju, respectively specifically mentioned one Olalekan Ajagungbade popularly known as Emir who they claimed to be as at the period of issuing this press statement, a wanted criminal suspect in the state.
But in a swift reaction, the (PDP) through its media director, Oladele Bamiji, described the claim as malicious adding that, Oyeyemi Olalekan Ajagungbade is a bonafide member of the PDP having decamped from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
While exonerating Ajagungbade from any criminal indictment having approached the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo for the enforcement of his fundamental right to liberty, right to life and freedom of movement noted that the ruling APC is only pained by the exit of Ajagungbade from the party.
However, OSRA accused the state’s police command of not taking the arrest of Ajagungbade seriously which had emboldened him and other criminal elements who were moving around freely and continuously fomenting trouble in the state.
