A crisis is brewing in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State as party members in Anka and Talata Mafara local government areas have alleged attempts to forge and manipulate registered membership figures.
A statement issued by Nura Rabiu Cibiki, the director of Media and Strategy for the Campaign and Mobilisation Committee of the party’s aspirant representing the Anka/Talata Mafara Federal Constituency, warned against any effort to duplicate or tamper with existing membership records. It cautioned that such actions could deepen internal disagreements and undermine party unity.
According to the statement, members insisted that they were aware of their legitimate membership strength and would resist any move to alter the integrity of the party’s registration process.
“While justice can be delayed, the truth cannot be denied,” the statement declared.
Cibiki also emphasized the need for transparency and fairness in party affairs, maintaining that ADC members in both Anka and Talata Mafara had worked diligently to build the party structure and remained committed to protecting its credibility and democratic principles.
The group further warned that any attempt to manipulate party figures or create false records could trigger unnecessary tension within the constituency.
The members reiterated their readiness to defend what they described as the authentic and selfless foundation of the party in the federal constituency.
