Dambuwa Urges Unity, Support For Tinubu, Sokoto Leadership

Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba Dambuwa has called on Nigerians to embrace hope, unity and collective responsibility as the country enters 2026, urging them to remain supportive of ongoing reforms at both federal and state levels.

In a New Year message, the former senator who represented Sokoto South Senatorial District in the 8th and 9th National Assembly extended greetings to the people of Sokoto State and other Nigerians He expressed optimism that the New Year would usher in peace, stability and prosperity.

“May 2026 bring renewed hope, peace, and prosperity to our beloved nation,” Danbaba Dambuwa said.

He congratulated Nigerians and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as courageous leadership and commitment to national transformation, noting that the administration’s reforms, though initially challenging, are laying a solid foundation for a stronger and more self-reliant Nigeria.

According to him, the President’s efforts to reform the economy, strengthen national institutions and improve security deserve continued public support. He urged Nigerians to remain patient and steadfast as the policies begin to yield long-term benefits.

Danbaba Dambuwa also praised the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, for his dedication to the development of the state, highlighting achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education and security.

“Your leadership has revitalised governance and rekindled the hopes of our people,” he said, describing the governor’s administration as visionary and committed to a united and progressive Sokoto State.

The former lawmaker further paid tribute to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamako, whom he described as the political leader of Sokoto State, applauding his wisdom, mentorship and unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He noted that Senator Wamako’s support continues to serve as a pillar of strength for the current administration and a guiding light for emerging leaders in Sokoto State and the wider northern region.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s challenges, Danbaba Dambuwa stressed that national progress can only be achieved through unity, patience and collective responsibility, adding that the difficulties facing the country are surmountable with faith in leadership, trust in institutions and mutual respect among citizens.

He called on Nigerians to enter the new year with renewed determination to support President Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Aliyu in the delivery of their mandates, while also serving as ambassadors of peace and development in their communities.

The message concluded with prayers for divine guidance, wisdom and protection for Nigeria and its leaders.

“May Almighty Allah (SWT) bless our leaders with wisdom, protect our nation from all forms of insecurity, and guide us towards a future filled with hope and abundance,” he said.

He wished Nigerians and the people of Sokoto State a happy and prosperous New Year.
