Dare Headlines Star-studded Guests For Sportsville Award

Former Sports Minister and Special Adviser to the President on Communications, Hon. Sunday Dare, will lead a powerhouse lineup of dignitaries at the 6th edition of the Sportsville Special Recognition Awards coming up on Saturday, March 28th at the Prestigious Lagos Country Club, ikeja Lagos.

Joining Dare are sports icons Chief Segun Odegbami, MON; Hon. Bukola Olopade, Director General of the National Sports Commission; Dr. Danladi Bako; and Nigeria Football Federation President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau.

The A-list also features LAPO Microfinance CEO Dr. Godwin Ehigiamusor, PhD; Mike Itemuagbor; and Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi. Recent Sports Personalities of the Year—Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye (2024) and Dr. Uyi Akpata (2025)—will attend alongside HotSports Group MD Taye Ige and MasterSports International’s Mitchel Obi.

SuperSport Nigeria General Manager Chief Felix Awogu and top TV anchor Charles Anazodo round up the broadcast heavyweights.

From print media circles, The Nation Newspaper MD Victor Ifijeh leads former editors Martins Oloja (Abuja NewsDay and The Guardian) and Onochie Anibeze (Saturday Vanguard).
