Deji Of Akure Mourns Akeredolu

The Deji, who is also the Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade, has described the death of Akeredolu as a huge colossal loss to the good people of the state and the country at large.

Oba Aladetoyinbo who is also the  Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas, is described as a fearless and resilient fighter for the course of justice and the interest of the masses.

In a statement personally signed by Oba Aladetoyinbo in Akure,  the state capital, he said Akeredolu was passionate about the infrastructural and industrial development of the state, many of which have started yielding fruitful results.

According to him,  “on behalf of himself and the Ondo State Council of Obas have received the news of the passing away of our amiable past Governor,  Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON which occurred on Wednesday 27th December 2023.

“There is no gainsaying that Governor Akeredolu lived up to his name of Mr Talk and Do who will always pursue his strong conviction into a logical conclusion.

The maintenance of internal security in the southwest through the establishment of Amotekun remained one of the enduring legacies of Late Odunayo Akeredolu.
