Nasarawa United delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Warri Wolves on Sunday, reigniting their hopes for a continental ticket in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Solid Miners put on an impressive display at home, securing crucial points that propel them up the league table.

The breakthrough came in the 43rd minute when I. Chimezie calmly converted a penalty, sending Nasarawa United into halftime with a 1-0 lead. The second half saw no let-up from the home side, with N. Oluka-Efor doubling their advantage in the 61st minute. H. Alakija then sealed the emphatic win in the 73rd minute, rounding off a dominant performance.

This crucial victory moves Nasarawa United to the 6th position on the log with 53 points, just two points shy of third-placed Ikorodu City. With their continental aspirations now firmly within reach, the Solid Miners will be looking to maintain this momentum in their upcoming fixtures. Warri Wolves, meanwhile, will need to regroup after this significant defeat.
