The only place pride has taken anyone is rock bottom. Unknowing to its victim, it is a sign of weakness and complex, so much so that a lot of morals are taken from the peacock, which when it struts its stuff, it shows his backside to half of the world while announcing itself.
It is humbling when people who sleep and wake in affluence keep their shoulders in normal positions, and a sort of flirting with alcohol when those in the same social strata make others feel less of themselves. CEO of Nippon Group Limited, Quincy Peter Patrick, popularly known as Quincy Nippon, is a shade of difference in many ways.
Quincy Nippon is a serial entrepreneur with investments worth billions of Naira in the hospitality and real estate sectors. The businessman oversees his group of companies, which include Nippon Grand Hotel located in the heart of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and Nippon Real Estate Limited.
Quincy Nippon was born and raised in Aba, a commercial city in Abia State.
The investor attended Cameron Barracks Primary School and Wilcox Memorial Comprehensive Secondary School, Aba. He is married and blessed with children. One of the striking things about the billionaire is his humility, which over time, he has shown that it is not just a facade thing, but deep inside.
Quincy Peter Patrick boasts of many Nigerians on his payroll and he has made immense contributions to the private sector and economic development of Nigeria through creation of jobs. His Nippon Grand Hotel, which is located on Ahmadu Bello Kado Express Way, Abuja, was recently ranked #32 of 278 hotels in the Federal Capital Territory.
It has 54 rooms luxuriously furnished, fully air-conditioned, fitted with flat-screen plasma television, satellite dishes for worldwide channels, reception of in-house movies, stylish interior design, mini bars and exquisite Jacuzzi bathtubs. Suites contain living and dining areas.
Its spacious rooms are creatively laid with luxurious beds and Italian designed bathtubs and it provides 24 hours internet service.
Nippon Real Estate Limited, one of Nippon Quincy’s chains of investments, is one of the best in the country, leading the provision of affordable, quality and decent housing to Nigerians. They say “If you are friends with five rich men, you will be the sixth”. The astute businessman is a close acquaintance of Obinna “Obi” Iyiegbu, also known as Obi Cubnana. But his relationship with people; poor or rich, is never determined by his connections or wealth.
In a post on his social media, Quincy Nippon depicted a deep sense of knowledge that life is fickle, and that it brings to people whatsoever side it wills. He urged people to always help those in need and be kind.
“Don’t feel too proud because you have bread, remember someone owns the bread company. All fingers are not equal. You can stress your hand and be a blessing to your fellow classmates instead of mocking them simple because you’re in a better position than them. Life is not predictable. Be nice and stay alert and firm. One love. God bless you,” Quincy Nippon wrote.
Nippon Quincy is the patron of Aba-based Nippon Grand Football Club. He was honoured with a Fellowship Award 2021 Hall of Fame by the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana, for his entrepreneurial excellence and exceptional management track records over the years.
The institute, which is headquartered in Ghana, has Liaison offices in Nigeria, Cote d’ivoire, Liberia and Kenya.
