Ahead of the November 16, 2024 Ondo State governorship election, Network of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria has urged Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa not to set the state on fire because of his ambition to continue in office.
The network equally called on all the aspirants, especially those of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), including the governor, to put the interest of the people first and above personal and selfish political interests of governing the state by all means.
National coordinator, Network of Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria, Comrade Victor Kalu who made the call at a press conference in Abuja yesterday, expressed worry over the rising political tension in the state.
Kalu asked the national leadership of the APC to call the governor to order following the recent fights in the party as he has been severally accused by his party members of being behind the political and recent security challenges and thuggery activities in the state.
