Chairman of Winco Foams, Chief Godwin Okafor, has urged the federal government to ease the processes involved in importing raw materials into the country.
He made this known yesterday at the presentation of a state-of-the-art distribution van gifted to the company’s loyal customers held at Winco Foams Factory, Zuba. Okafor, who was represented by the general manager, Winco Foams, Mr. Dickens Ekong, said the manufacturing sector survives basically on the raw materials imported into the country, stating that the manufacturing industry is helpless if the government doesn’t ease the processes.
He said, “We always want to partner with our customers by providing excellent services to them, most importantly, to ease the business pains because the economy is so bad that manufacturers cannot even operate. The cost of power is so high, operating expenses are also high, but, in these circumstances, we are doing our best to ensure that our customers are very happy, so they can get some returns and we also can get some returns, the whole stakeholders in this business are all getting something at the end.”
Commenting on the presentation, Operations Manager Winco Foams, Engineer Ezeadi Paul, advised the beneficiaries to keep up with the good work as there is more to come, adding that there are laid-down plans as well for those who are yet to benefit from the company. Also, the beneficiaries of the distribution van revealed their excitement and appreciation to the manufacturing company, explaining that logistics has been the major pain in the neck of their businesses.
The beneficiaries’ names include: Mr. Chima Theophilus from Gwarinpa, Mr. Samson Onoriode from Suleja, Mr. Ebinezer Arineze from Idu Industrial Area, Mrs. Caroline Ikhotuo from Suleja, and Mr. Anthony Abibi from Dutse.
