The senior special assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has extended Easter greetings to Nigerians and called for renewed hope, strengthened faith and a deeper commitment to national development.
In her Easter message released by her special assistant on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Desmond Utomwen, the presidential aide said that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a powerful symbol of renewal, sacrifice and the triumph of light over darkness.
She urged Nigerians to draw inspiration from the season by embracing unity, compassion and collective responsibility in building a better society.
Orelope-Adefulire noted that the values of Easter aligned with the principles underpinning the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the pursuit of inclusiveness, equity and shared prosperity.
“We must ensure that no one is left behind,” she said, and called on all stakeholders across government, the private sector and civil society to remain steadfast in their commitment to advancing sustainable development.
According to her, Nigeria’s progress towards achieving the SDGs requires a whole-of-society approach, anchored on collaboration, resilience and sustained action.
She expressed optimism that with continued dedication and shared vision, the country would overcome its challenges and achieve meaningful development outcomes for present and future generations.
