Edo College Commits To Transform Teacher Education, Opens Admission

The Edo State College of Education has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening teacher education in Edo State and across Nigeria as it begins the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a statement issued by Mr Omonzejele Emmanuel, Acting Registrar, the institution noted that it operates a multi-campus structure with facilities in Igueben, Abudu and Afuze, with the College’s administrative headquarters located in Igueben, Edo State.

He added that prospective applicants may submit their applications through the College’s online admission platform at [www.edocoe.edu.ng](http://www.edocoe.edu.ng) or contact the Admissions Office.

The statement emphasised the College’s continued focus on producing competent educators who can contribute to educational development within the state and the country.

He further stated that the College offers academic programmes across several schools, including the School of Early Childhood Care and Primary Education, School of Vocational Education, School of Technical Education, School of Education, and the School of Special Needs Education.

Others include the School of Arts and Social Sciences Education and the School of Human Kinetics and Health Education.

These schools oversee programmes leading to the award of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Professional Diploma in Education (PDE).
