The member representing Bichi Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In a statement issued on Friday, the lawmaker noted that the celebration marks the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, a period devoted to fasting, prayer, sacrifice and spiritual reflection.
Bichi urged Muslim faithful to sustain the values and lessons of Ramadan, including honesty, compassion, love for one another and commitment to family and community.
While congratulating Muslims on the occasion, he called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, to remain committed to peace, tolerance and mutual coexistence.
According to him, national unity remains critical to the country’s progress and development.
“While I congratulate Muslims across Nigeria and beyond on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, I urge Nigerians, particularly Muslim faithful, to use this opportunity to pray for our dear nation,” he said.
He added that the key lessons of Ramadan include the fear of Allah, empathy, generosity and care for the less privileged in society.
The lawmaker also urged citizens to offer prayers for the country’s leaders, particularly Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to grant the president wisdom and strength to successfully lead the nation.
Bichi expressed appreciation to the people of Bichi Federal Constituency for their continued support and confidence in his leadership.
He reassured them of his commitment to effective representation and the delivery of democratic dividends to improve the wellbeing of his constituents.
“Happy Eid-el-Fitr to all Muslim faithful. May Allah accept our ibadah,” he added.
