Eid-el-Kabir: Governor Inuwa Joins Emir Of Gombe, Others For Prayers

Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, yesterday joined the Emir of Gombe,  Alhaji Dr Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, and other Muslim Ummah in the state to observe the Eid  2- Rakaat eid prayer to mark the commencement of Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration in Gombe.

The Eid prayer held at the main Eid ground in Gombe was led by the Deputy Chief Imam of Gombe, Ustaz Aliyu Hammari, was also attended by top government functionaries, including the Speaker and members of Gombe State House of Assembly; secretary to the state government,  acting head of Civil Service, permanent secretaries and other faithful.

The governor had earlier in a goodwill message, enjoined the people of the state to imbibe the lessons of Eid el-Kabir which connote sacrifice, love, unity and obedience and demonstrate same in their daily lives for the good of the society and humanity at large.

He also  enjoined the people to continue to make sacrifices for the growth and development of Gombe  state and Nigeria atlarge, even as he urged for special prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all leaders at all levels.

He commended the steps so far taken by Tinubu, noting that ” the President has demonstrated capacity,  passion and zeal to move the country forward.  We must therefore give him our full support and encouragement”.
