The Ejeh of Olamaboro and chairman Olamaboro Traditional Council in Kogi State, HRH Sir Ujah Sani Simeon, has appealed to Olamaboro youths both at home and in diaspora to foster unity, preserve their cultural heritage, and to promote peaceful coexistence.

The royal father stated this during the conferment of a honorary chieftaincy title on Chief Michael Abimaje Adejoh at his palace in Okpo, the headquarters of Olamaboro LGA.

He particularly urged the youths to avoid crime, embrace agriculture and education for a sustainable development in the area.

According to him, the conferment of honorary chieftaincy title on Chief Adejoh is in recognition of his consistent commitment to the welfare and development of his people and community.

He maintained that, “As a proud son of Olamaboro, your distinguished service at the Nigerian National

Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and more importantly, sustained engagement with the people of Emenega and Ogugu in general, have not gone unnoticed.”

The royal father insisted that Chief Adejoh’s efforts in keeping close ties with his roots and supporting activities that have tangible impact on communities reflect a deep sense of responsibility, loyalty, and love for the people.

“In recognition of these commendable contributions, the Olamaboro Traditional Council is pleased to conferred on you the Chieftaincy title ‘Oga-Ejeh Olamaboro with salutation ‘Do’ooga'”, he said .

According to the chairman of Olamaboro Traditional Council, the honour is bestowed on him, as a mark of appreciation and as an encouragement to continue to serve as a bridge between Olamaboro and the wider national space he operates.

Meanwhile, Chief Adejoh in his acceptance remarks expressed appreciation to Olamaboro Traditional Council for the honour.

According to him, the gesture will spur him to do more stressing that he will continue to support any initiative and programme aimed at bringing peace and unity to communities in Olamaboro for sustainable development.
