Ekiti Empowers 350 Women With N20m

Market women in Irepodun/Ifelodun local government area of Ekiti State, are to be empowered with N20 million donated by the state government to boost and enhance their businesses.

The chairman of the local government, Gbenga Oluwatuyi, disclosed this in Igede Ekiti headquarters of the local council.

Speaking during the visit of the Special Assistant on Entertainment II to the Governor, Hon. Feyisayo Olatomide to the local government, Oluwatuyi said no fewer than 350 women are to benefit from the donated fund.

The council boss commended\ Olatomide for her various initiatives and gestures aimed at   positively impacting on the lives of the people.

Addressing party leaders in the local government, the governor aide said she was in her ward to show gratitude to the people and ask for their continuous support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration.

Hon. Olatomide appreciated the governor for her appointment and expressed  her love for Igede people which  was demonstrated  through the  visit to  the community describing it as her second home.

While promising to donate part of her monthly salary to each wards in the local council Olatomide  who distributed  food items and cash to the people present at the event noted that  the wife of the governor, Olayemi Oyebanji was really  committed to helping the women in the state and that Igede women should be prepared for her visit to the area.

In his remarks,  the APC chairman of Ward A, Igede Ekiti, Hon.Chief Bode Osanyinlusi, described the governor aide as Omoluabi who has demonstrated  her loyalty to Governor Oyebanji  by  paying a thank you visit to her people at home.
