The emir of Tikau in Yobe State, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing former speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, as chairman of National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC).
In a statement signed by Alhaji Muhammad Sambo Sarki, Galadiman Tikau, which was made available to LEADERSHIP in Damaturu, the state capital the monarch described former speaker Dogara as a great asset to the president as he will deploy his wealth of experience as a legislator, lawyer and leader to help advance the goal of the newly created company.
According to him, this appointment is a firm avowal of Dogara’s exemplary public service, steadfast commitment to democratic principles and an untainted track record in governance and legislative excellence.
“I want to use this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the confidence and trust reposed in Rt. Hon. Dogara who holds the highly traditional title of Jarman Tikau,” the emir said.
He said this decision not only echoes President Tinubu’s astute leadership but also accentuates his strategic effort to consolidate national institutions by appointing capable hands like Hon Dogara.
