The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has announced that it will confer President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the council’s award for the highest promoter of environmental health in Nigeria.
EHCON is the body responsible for regulating environmental health in the country.
A statement yesterday noted, “The president’s investiture with the award will highlight the Maiden National Environmental Health Excellence Award (NEHEA) scheduled for Tuesday, 18th February 2025 at the Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja.”
The council added that “The awards recognise the contributions of both public and private sector operators and other stakeholders to the delivery of Environmental Health practice and services in Nigeria”.
Categories of the awards include the highest prestigious award, national legislators award, ministerial award, governors’ award, royal fathers award, public officers award, private sector award, corporate entity award, supporting institutions/development partner award and distinguished environmental health practitioner award.
