Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has surpassed the record held by former player David Beckham for the club.
This milestone was achieved after Fernandes scored against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday. Two goals from Fernandes and Benjamin Šeško secured all three points for Michael Carrick’s side at Old Trafford.
As noted by OptaJoe, Fernandes has scored and assisted in 18 different Premier League matches for Manchester United. He has now eclipsed Beckham’s total of 17, trailing only Wayne Rooney (35) and Ryan Giggs (22).
Fernandes aims to continue his impressive form when Manchester United faces Newcastle on Wednesday.
