The appointments marked a significant step in reinforcing traditional leadership across the Katsina Emirate.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary of the Emirate, Alhaji Bello Ifo, who also holds the traditional title of Sarkin Yakin Katsina, those appointed as Hakimai (district heads) include Alhaji Sanusi Kabir Usman as the new Karshin Katsina and Alhaji Ahmed Abdulmumini Usman as Dan-majen Katsina.

Senator Sirika was named the Marusan Katsina, while Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu has been appointed as Sarkin Mudurun Katsina; Alhaji Gambo Abdulahi Daibai will serve as the Dausayin Katsina.

The Emirate Council said the appointments were in line with efforts to promote capable leadership and ensure continued relevance of traditional institutions in the governance and cultural identity of Katsina State.
