Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has confirmed her attendance at the 18th edition of the LEADERSHIP Conference and Awards ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, 12 February 2026, at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The former First Lady who confirmed her attendance to LEADERSHIP yesterday said she look forward to attending the event themed “Political Stability and Sustainable Development in Africa in an Increasingly Unstable Global System: A Roadmap for Nigeria,”.
The attendance of Mama Peace as the former First Lady is widely known, is aimed at showing solidarity with Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is being celebrated as LEADERSHIP’s Person of the Year 2025.
It will be recalled that LEADERSHIP, in November 2025, unveiled its 2025 awardees, with Senator Oluremi Tinubu emerging as the Person of the Year.
Catholic Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Hassan Kukah, is expected to chair the Conference and Awards ceremony, while the keynote address will be delivered by the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Dr Amina Mohammed.
