Ex-Minister Kennedy-Ohanenye Breaks Silence On Dismissal From Tinubu’s Cabinet

Former minister of women affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has broken her silence on her removal from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

LEADERSHIP reports that on Wednesday, the President discharged five ministers from his cabinet, including Kennedy-Ohanenye, Lola Ade-John, the minister of tourism, and Jamila Bio Ibrahim, minister of youth development.

Others are former the minister of education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, and former minister of state, housing, and urban development, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo.

However, Kennedy-Ohanenye, in a statement on Thursday, thanked President Tinubu for the opportunity to have served as a member of his cabinet, adding that it has been an honour and privilege to contribute to the development of Nigeria.

“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for her invaluable guidance and support during my tenure as Minister of Women Affairs,” the statement read.
