The immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Zamfara State Chapter, Dr Jamil Jibo Magayaki, who defected alongside Governor Dauda Lawal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured the party’s ticket to contest for the Kaura Namoda North State Constituency seat in the Zamfara State House of Assembly.

The declaration was made yesterday by the chairman of the Zamfara State APC Primary Elections Committee, Hon. Buba Galadima, at Karma Hotel, Gusau, where Magayaki emerged victorious through affirmation.

According to the committee, Magayaki was affirmed by 9,987 delegates drawn from the five wards of the constituency, reflecting the overwhelming confidence and support reposed in him by party members and stakeholders.

After the declaration, Magayaki expressed gratitude to Governor Dauda Lawal, the party leaders, delegates and the people of Kaura Namoda North for their trust in him. He assured party supporters of his commitment to working tirelessly to secure the APC’s victory in the forthcoming general elections.

He also called on all party faithful and other aspirants to unite and work together for the progress of the party and the development of Kaura Namoda North and Zamfara State at large.
