The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has launched a new digital and monitoring platform to track transparency and compliance across over 700 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The launch, which took place on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was part of a reform drive by the commission’s new leadership to modernise how the government monitors the fair distribution of jobs and projects across the country.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of the FCC, Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, stated that the digital move aligned the commission with global standards of governance.

“The new official website provides a unified and user-friendly platform for the public to engage with the commission. This initiative supports the Federal Government’s goal of using technology for inclusive governance,” Omidiran said.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Dr. George Akume, who officially unveiled the platform on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, described the move as a strategic step toward accountability. He noted that the digital tool would make it easier to ensure that every part of Nigeria was equitably represented in government processes.

Also present at the event was the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, represented by Mallam Sadiq Wanka, who praised the commission for using innovation to promote national cohesion.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, represented by Hon. Idris Wase, added that the platform would improve the legislature’s oversight functions. He noted that digital tracking will ensure that recruitment and opportunities in the public service remain fair and accessible to all Nigerians.
