The Abegyi Bwaya of Bwari Chiefdom marked the day by calling attention to the importance of prioritising the future of children across the nation.

In his message, Mouktar stated, “Dear children, I want to wish you all a very happy Children’s Day. You are the future and pride of our society and our great nation. It brings me immense happiness and profound joy to celebrate the 2025 National Children’s Day with you.”

He highlighted this year’s theme, “Stand Up, Speak Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation,” noting its timely relevance. Mouktar emphasised the urgent need for action against violence, bullying, and neglect, stating that such issues have no place in modern Nigeria.

The chairman also called on parents, stakeholders, and government officials to develop and implement child-focused policies that will secure a brighter future for the nation’s youth.
