The much-anticipated synergy was consummated recently in Abuja when the Executive Secretary of NCPWD, Dr. James David Lalu, received in audience a delegation from the Bauchi State Agency for Persons with Disabilities led by its Executive Secretary, Hon. Brisca Aaron.

In his welcome remarks, Lalu reiterated that the NCPWD was a home to all and will be willing to offer assistance to any group in the vanguard of protecting the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities in the country.

A statement signed by the Head, Information and Public Relations Unit, NCPWD, Mbanefo John Michaels, on Wednesday, a copy of which was available to LEADERSHIP, said the Commission’s helmsman also assured that his office will ensure the establishment of the State office of the Commission for Persons With Disabilities before the end of December, 2024.

He further commended the Agency for providing some palliatives as well as scholarships for the susceptible, especially persons with disabilities in the North-East at this critical period.
