Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has commissioned several key infrastructural projects executed by the administration of Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya in Gombe State, describing them as impactful and people-oriented.

Fintiri, who attended the event as Special Guest of Honour, commended Yahaya for what he termed laudable projects that would significantly improve the living standards of residents.

Among the projects inaugurated was a 33-kilometre road linking communities between Kaltungo and Balanga Local Government Areas. The Adamawa governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of the project, noting that it would stand the test of time and serve the people effectively.

He also inaugurated a Tsangaya school in Bakasi community, where he emphasised the importance of education in shaping future generations. Fintiri praised the Gombe State Government for addressing the educational needs of its people through such initiatives.

The Adamawa governor further expressed his readiness to collaborate with his Gombe counterpart in areas that would bring mutual benefits to the people of both states.

Speaking earlier, Governor Yahaya said the road project would enhance connectivity between communities and strengthen economic ties, while the Tsangaya schools established across the state would provide both Islamic and Western education.

As part of the visit, the two governors inspected a one-megawatt solar mini-grid project in Talasse, Balanga Local Government Area. The project is designed to supply electricity to about 6,000 households and businesses in Talasse and Suwa communities, which have reportedly experienced over 15 years without power supply.
