Fintiri To Evaluate Performance Of Council Chairmen In Adamawa

Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has told local government chairmen that their performance at the grassroots would be evaluated as part of his administration’s second anniversary in office.

He made this known while receiving a Sallah homage from local government chairmen, led by the chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Adamawa State, Engineer Suleiman Ahmed Gangkuba, at the Government House in Yola.

Addressing the delegation, Governor Fintiri urged the chairmen to intensify their efforts to deliver effective governance, emphasising their duty to serve their respective communities.

He noted that his planned tour across the state would focus on assessing local development needs and addressing them.

The governor also reminded the council chairmen that winning elections requires hard work and reiterated that his successor will emerge from the grassroots with strong political experience.

In his remarks, ALGON chairman Engineer Suleiman Gangkuba stated that they were visiting to felicitate with the governor on Eid-el-Fitr and reaffirm their unwavering support for his administration.

He praised Governor Fintiri’s leadership, describing him as a political mentor and pledging continued loyalty.
