Fire Destroys Shops At Yola Market

Fire has destroyed several shops at Yola Town Market in Yola South local government area of Adamawa State.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday night caused the traders huge losses.

The state deputy governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, who was at the scene of the fire disaster yesterday said the state government would ascertain the cause of the inferno and assist the victims.

Farauta said although the exact number of affected traders was yet to be determined, the government would do everything possible to provided sucour for them

She said, “We are here to commiserate with our brothers and sisters who have been affected by this fire incident. Government would look into what has happened as the source of the fire and number of shops burnt,” she said.
