Firm Targets Northern Nigeria With Culturally-rooted Flavour

Promasidor Nigeria has expanded the seasoning brand with the launch of ONGA Ɗanɗano Seasoning Cube, a new product developed specifically for Northern Nigerian cooking traditions.

Unveiled in Yola, Adamawa State, and Kano, Kano State, mark a strategic expansion of the ONGA brand across Northern Nigeria and reinforce Promasidor’s commitment to creating products tailored to local tastes and cooking traditions.

Speaking on the innovation, the culinary category manager, Omotayo Olaobaju, described the product as a versatile kitchen essential and formulated around Northern culinary traditions.

“ONGA dandano cube has superior taste that enhances a wide range of dishes and elevates the cooking experience of every woman, helping them achieve delicious results with ease,” she said.

She added, “We believe this product will become an important part of everyday cooking in Northern Nigeria by helping families create tastier, more satisfying meals.”

The Regional Sales Manager for Northwestern Nigeria, Tayo Famusudo, highlighted the uniqueness of the product and its cultural relevance to Northern households, saying, “While our existing seasoning Beef and Chicken cubes remain trusted favourites, ONGA Ɗanɗano represents a significant upgrade in flavour and aroma.”

The head of Sales at Promasidor Nigeria, Olakunle Ayeni, noted that the new Dandano cube simplifies cooking by combining multiple flavour elements into one convenient seasoning solution for wives, mums, and chefs alike.

The launch events attracted key distributors, business partners, traders, and stakeholders from across Northern Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory. In Yola, distributors including Mohammed Sani (Gombe), Oluwole Ayola (Yola), and Abubakar Jibrin (Wukari, Taraba State) expressed confidence in the product’s market potential, describing it as an all-in-one seasoning solution capable of driving strong consumer demand in the North-Eastern market.
