IT Horizons, and its long-standing partner, Sophos, have stressed the need to continue to drive conversations on cyber security resilience on the African continent.

In his address at a workshop titled “Beyond Protection: The Future of Cyber Resilience”  that brought together IT leaders, security experts, and business executives in Lagos, Mr Olusegun Enitan Dada, said that “IT Horizons is committed to ensuring that businesses in Africa are not only protected but are truly resilient in the face of today’s dynamic threat landscape. This workshop reflects our vision of helping enterprises safeguard operations, inspire trust, and sustain growth even in turbulent digital times.”

According to him, the workshop was carefully tailored to explore evolving cyber threats, the rise of AI-driven attacks, and the critical need for cyber resilience across organisations in Africa and beyond.

Corroborating him, Christopher Odutola, Solutions Engineer, Sopho, said, “Through expert-led sessions, participants gained insights into Sophos’ advanced security solutions, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and AI-powered defence capabilities. Discussions also underscored the importance of proactive cybersecurity strategies in protecting sensitive data, ensuring compliance, and safeguarding reputations.

“Cybercriminals are increasingly using AI and advanced tactics to outpace traditional defences. Through our collaboration with IT Horizons, we aim to help businesses across Africa strengthen their security posture with proactive, adaptive solutions that ensure continuity and confidence, no matter the threat.”
