First lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has urged people of Ekiti State to come out en mass and vote to and re-elect Governor Biodun Oyebanji on June 20 and President Bola Tinubu in January 2027, saying they would deliver more dividends of democracy to them.

Mrs Tinubu who arrived Ado-Ekiti for a one-day working visit to the state yesterday said God is using Oyebanji and Tinubu to turn around the fortunes of the people.

The first lady, who is also the national chairman, Renewed Hope Initiative, spoke during the flag off of the APC women’s campaign rally held at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado Ekiti.

Addressing the mammoth crowd,  she said, “I want to thank you for supporting and standing by Governor Oyebanji and his wife, please help him in the June 20, 2026 governorship election and come January 2027 vote for President Tinubu. We want to assure you, they will do more than what they have done if re-elected.

“When fuel subsidy was removed, the effect was somehow on the people but God is turning things around and you can see that more money is coming to the states to work with, they no longer owe workers’ salaries, there is no more petrol black market and things are getting better in Nigeria.”

Senator Tinubu who announced financial empowerment of N100 million for women in Ekiti, said, “ I have told Ekiti first lady to do an empowerment of N50,000 each for 2000 women in Ekiti to boost businesses.”

The first lady earlier commissioned an ICT Centre facilitated by her Renewed Hope Initiative at Ekiti State University, Ado- Ekiti (EKSU) and visited traditional rulers in the state for royal blessings.

Also addressing the gathering, Governor  Oyebanji hinged his administration’s achievements on the support received from President Tinubu’s administration.

The governor who commended Senator Tinubu for her numerous interventions in support of vulnerable groups, schools and the elderly across the country said, “I just want to express my profound gratitude to you for visiting Ekiti State. I also thank President Tinubu for his support for Ekiti. All the things we have done, whether in healthcare, road construction, employment and other sectors, would not have been possible without the support of my father, President Tinubu.

“We are saying thank you. We thank our mother for her support for the less privileged, the elderly and schools. We have promised to deliver to President Tinubu at least 700,000 votes in Ekiti by 2027 and 500,000 votes to the APC candidate in the June 20 governorship poll,” he added.
