Flying Eagles handler Aliyu Zubairu has been appointed head coach of Egyptian second division side Telecom SC. Zubairu was unveiled by Telecom SC yesterday after signing a two-year contract.
The experienced tactician guided the Flying Eagles to the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Zubairu rose to prominence after leading El-Kanemi Warriors to victory in the President’s Federation Cup in 2024.
He has previously worked with Wikki Tourists, Gombe United, and Akwa United.
The head coach is recognised for his strategic approach, focusing on developing young players and addressing both the psychological and physical aspects of the game.
Zubairu has been tasked with the responsibility of helping Telecom SC secure promotion to the Egyptian Premier League.
