The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has recorded a landmark achievement by attaining 100 per cent full accreditation status for all academic programmes assessed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2025.
The Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, who disclosed this to journalists in Lafia, described the development as a significant milestone in the University’s pursuit of academic excellence and development.
He expressed his profound appreciation to the immediate past vice-chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, under whose leadership the accreditation exercise was conducted, for the success of the exercise.
Kida also commended the immediate past director of academic planning and current Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Prof. Ilemona Adofu, for his resilience, diligence, and doggedness in coordinating the accreditation processes.
The vice-chancellor lauded deans of faculties and heads of department for their cooperation, dedication and collective commitment, which combined to ensure that “all programmes presented for accreditation met required standards.”
He noted that the feat has reflected the University’s sustained investment in human capital and infrastructure development, as well as its adherence to the NUC’s regulatory benchmarks.
Kida assured stakeholders that the University would consolidate on the gains achieved and continue to uphold high academic standards in teaching, research and community service.
