Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, has expressed her admiration for the 175 crew members who contributed to her upcoming film, “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” set to be released in December.
Taking to her Instagram page, Funke Akindele shared a group photo of the entire crew, accompanied by a heartfelt appreciation post.
In her message, she expressed her gratitude towards her colleagues from Nigeria and Ghana for their seamless collaboration during the nine-week shoot.
The actress emphasized her commitment to empowering the next generation of filmmakers, noting that 95% of the crew members were young professionals.
She wrote, “Proud moment! I want to celebrate the incredible 175 crew members who worked tirelessly for nine weeks to bring ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ to life! As a self-funded project, I’m honoured to have empowered a team of talented individuals, with 95% of them being young people, to showcase their skills.
Special shout out to our Nigerian and Ghanaian crew members who collaborated seamlessly to make this happen. I believe in empowering the next generation and giving them opportunities to shine. And shine they did! Get ready for the movie’s release in December!”
Meanwhile the actress and filmmaker has called out a scammer identified as Prosper.
The mother of two tweeted via her X handle as well as her Instagram story, sharing a screenshot of the scammer requesting money from unsuspecting victims with her picture and name.
