Garacci Vows Legal Action Over Alleged APC Disqualification In Zamfara Central

All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant for Zamfara Central, Hon. Sanusi Ibrahim Garacci, has vowed to pursue legal action against the party, insisting he remains in the race for the 2027 election after alleging he was wrongfully disqualified by APC structures.

Garacci accused the APC national headquarters of disqualifying him over non‑payment of party dues—a claim he described as false. He said he had paid all required levies and possesses documentary evidence to prove it.

“I have every document for the payment of my party dues, but I observed that the committee, either from the state or national headquarters, has removed some of my critical documents just to blacklist me,” Garacci said.

He alleged that the removal of his papers was a deliberate attempt to sideline him ahead of the party’s primaries. The aspirant did not specify which committee or officials were responsible for the alleged manipulation.

Garacci urged his supporters to remain calm, assuring them that all necessary steps were being taken to seek redress through legal channels.

The development comes weeks after APC stakeholders in Zamfara endorsed a consensus arrangement backing incumbent National Assembly members to seek re‑election in 2027. Garacci had earlier rejected the arrangement, describing it as undemocratic and a move to sideline other aspirants.

The APC has yet to respond publicly to Garacci’s allegations. The party’s national leadership is expected to review and ratify candidate lists submitted by state chapters ahead of the primaries.
