Gas Explosion Rocks Lagos Community

A devastating gas explosion has rocked Baale Street, Orile-Iganmu, in Lagos State, leaving several houses engulfed in flames.

Eyewitnesses said the explosion occurred earlier on Sunday, triggering a massive fire that spread rapidly through nearby residential buildings.

Though the exact cause of the explosion was yet to be confirmed, preliminary reports suggested it may have originated from a gas leak at a nearby shop.

Residents were seen attempting to salvage belongings before the flames intensified. The extent of casualties and property damage has not yet been determined, while authorities in Lagos State were yet to issue any statement on the incident.
