Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for April following a stunning run of form.
Over just three matches, the attacking midfielder scored four goals and added one assist, single-handedly driving his team away from the relegation zone.
His most remarkable performance came in a 4-1 comeback victory over Burnley. After falling behind early, Gibbs-White took control, netting a 15-minute hat-trick to turn the game around. He then capped off the month with a goal and an assist in a dominant 5-0 win against Sunderland.
Thanks to his efforts, Forest now sit six points clear of the bottom three, giving the club crucial breathing room as the season enters its final stretch. Gibbs-White becomes only the second Forest player ever to win the monthly award, following teammate Chris Wood who achieved the feat last year.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola claimed the Manager of the Month award after guiding Manchester City through a flawless April. His side won all their league fixtures, including a tense 2-1 victory over title rivals Arsenal, a commanding 3-0 win against Chelsea, and a hard-fought 1-0 defeat of Burnley.
This marks Guardiola’s 13th Premier League Manager of the Month award, the third-most in history. He now trails only former Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger, who holds the record with 15.
