.The state project coordinator of ACReSAL, Dr Sani Adamu Jauro, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by NAWIA’s state coordinator, Amina Mohammed Umar, and her executive team. She said the collaboration would be part of the efforts to empower women through agricultural programmes in the state.

He commended Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya for fostering a women-friendly environment, noting that NAWIA members had been enrolled in precision agriculture programmes under the ACReSAL. Dr Jauro further pledged support in the form of fishponds, greenhouses, and improved seeds to enhance productivity.

In her remarks, NAWIA coordinator Amina Mohammed Umar revealed that the organisation has registered over 30,000 women free of charge. She highlighted ongoing efforts in backyard farming and outlined plans to expand training in fertiliser production, tree planting, and nutrition.

According to the officials, the partnership will bolster women’s participation in agriculture, improve livelihoods, and contribute to climate resilience across Gombe State.
