Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has approved the appointment of John Paul Akinduro as the spokesperson to the State’s deputy governor, Olayide Adelami.
Akinduro, a seasoned media entrepreneur and communications specialist, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Having previously served as the Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communications to former governor of the State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Akinduro has demonstrated his proficiency in political communication, journalism, and digital storytelling over the past decade.
Holding key positions such as Special Assistant on Digital Media to the governor during his tenure, Akinduro played a pivotal role in shaping the media landscape of Ondo State. Notably, he was instrumental in the establishment of NN24, Africa’s first 24-hour TV news channel and CNN affiliate.
Akinduro’s expertise extends beyond traditional media, as he has spearheaded numerous media and tech-related projects for both local and international organizations through his role as Creative Officer-in-Chief of Media Friends.
Having been at the forefront of digital media engagement during President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election campaign in 2015, Akinduro’s strategic insights and innovative approach to communication make him a valuable asset to the Ondo State administration.
