The Akwa Ibom state governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has said he will complete all valuable projects inherited from previous administrations for the benefit of the people.

Eno said this during the inauguration of the 2.4km Ikot Akpa Ikpo – Urua Udo-Inyang road and the 2.4km internal roads network within Mkpok Estate Phase I and 2 in Eket local government area.

The governor maintained that the people are at the centre of his administration and promised to do more in the coming years.

He said the 2.4km Ikot Akpa Ikpo – Urua Udo-Inyang road, which is one of the roads inherited from previous administration, became necessary to complete and commissioned by his administration, given its socio – economic impacts on the people of the area and beyond.

Eno disclosed that his administration has embarked on the construction of 38km of roads in Eket LGA, which he said, were at different stages of completion and also promised an additional 12km of roads in the area to make it 50km.

He said the gesture was to appreciate the hospitality of the people of Eket towards him and further demonstrate his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure across the state.

Governor Eno called on youths of the area and the state in general to take ownership and protect the roads and other public infrastructure within their vicinity.

At the commissioning of the 2.4km internal roads network within Mkpok Estate Phase I and 2, he said the facility was central to the people of Eket and likened it to the highbrow Ewet Housing Estate in Uyo.
