Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has led a high-powered delegation of government officials to attend the funeral of late Hajiya Ummah El-Rufai, mother of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai.
Hajiya Ummah El-Rufai passed away on Thursday night after a prolonged illness, drawing an outpouring of condolences from political leaders, associates, and well-wishers across the country.
The funeral, held in accordance with Islamic rites, was attended by top government functionaries, family members, and sympathisers who gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased and stand in solidarity with the El-Rufai family during this period of mourning.
Governor Sani, while commiserating with the former governor and the El-Rufai family, described the loss as deeply painful.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
Governor Sani further urged the family to take solace in the exemplary life lived by the late matriarch, noting that her legacy of strength, dignity, and devotion would continue to inspire generations.
The governor also reaffirmed the support and solidarity of the Kaduna State Government with the El-Rufai family in this moment of grief, calling on all to keep them in prayers.
